フランスのお話。
なぜか幼い頃からずっと気になっていた国。
だから私はフランスを「魂を還す場所」と呼んでいます。
初めて訪れたのはテロ事件直後の2016年。
2017年に再訪。
2022年にMV撮影とフランス南下の旅。
フランス4回目の渡航となったのが昨年の2024年。
パリのオリンピック前のデコレーションとノートルダム大聖堂の改修工事が印象的な年でした。
フランスに来て毎回思うことがあります。
景色が絵になる。
空が高くて広い。
水と土が違う。
そしてフランス語は美しい。
日本に帰ると、便利で豊かで安全な国だとつくづく感じると同時に、日本では感じることのできないフランスの街並みや自然、人々がまるで一つの芸術であるかのように私の心の中に残るのです。
それは時に、日本で生活する私を悩ます種になることもあります。
そういった経験を重ねて人生を熟していくことが生きるということなのかもしれません。
フランスワインの原材料であるブドウは、スプリンクラーで水を与えられることもなく、品種によっては石灰岩の中に力強く根を張り成長するものもあるそうです。
困難な状況の中で育まれる強さや深みは、人間の生き方にも通じるのかもしれません。
海外のお話は、"The Terroir Dilemma"というタイトルで、少しずつ紹介していきます。
A story about France...
This country has always been somewhat on my mind since I was a child.
That's why I call France "the place where the soul returns".
I first visited in 2016, right after the terrorist attacked.
Revisited in 2017.
In 2022, I visited to shoot a music video and traveled south .
My fourth trip to France was last year in 2024.
It was an impressive year with the pre-Olympic decorations in Paris and the renovation of Notre Dame Cathedral.
Every time I come to France, there is what I think.
The scenery is picturesque.
The sky is high and wide.
The water and soil are different.
And the French language is beautiful.
When I go back to Japan, I feel that Japan is a convenient, rich, and safe country, but at the same time, French cityscapes, nature, and people, which I cannot feel in Japan, remain in my mind as if they were a piece of art.
Also, this sometimes becomes a seed of difficulty for me living in Japan.
Living means that you ripen a life through these experiences, I think.
Grapes, the raw material for French wine, are not watered by sprinklers, and some varieties of grapes grow strongly with their roots in limestone.
The strength and depth nurtured in difficult circumstances may be similar to the human way of life.
We will gradually introduce stories from overseas under the title "The Terroir Dilemma".
