「差額」は英語で

お金関係の仕事や業務をなされてる方でしたらよく目にする単語かもしれませんね。 

この「差額」ですが、実はみなさんご存じの単語で表せます。 

それは、 difference　 

different の名詞の形ですね。 

「違い」→「差」→「差額」という風にとらえると分かりやすいかもしれません。 

In the case that the costs required by the program have already been remitted to the travel agency, the cancellation fees will be deducted and the difference will be refunded. 

(既にプログラムに要する費用を旅行代理店に納入済みの場合、キャンセル料を差し引いた差額を返金します。) 

例文はややこしいですが、 “I need to pay the difference.” というように、会話でも使えますね。
