11月がkick offしました。いかがお過ごしですか。
先日私は語学学習に興味をお持ちの方々をお招きして、書道と水墨画のworkshopを行いました。様々な国籍の方々にご参加頂き、楽しんで頂き、イベントは大成功でした :)
こうした対面イベントは2019年を最後に見送っておりましたので、またこうして皆さんと時間を共有出来てとても幸せです。
これからも、普段から頑張っている語学学習の成果を試せる場所、語学という共通の興味を共有出来る時間、多国籍の仲間同士が交友出来る空間の提供を目指して頑張ります :)

For sums up to NZ$5,000, our fee is NZ$15.00.
Above that, our fee is a flat $25.00.

Yes, that’s what our records show.
Where are you planning to travel?
JS:
I’m going to travel around many parts of the North Island.
I’m going to stay in Auckland for two nights and then spend one night each in Whitianga, Tauranga, Rotorua, Taupo, Napier and Palmerston North before finishing with two nights in Wellington.
PM:
Wow, that sounds like a great trip.
Our cars are all fitted with GPS systems which will help you find the best route to each place.
JS:
That sounds very helpful.
Is the system easy to use?
PM:
Yes, it is.
It uses standard English and is set at a slow speed.
Our service representative will now take you to the car and explain the system.

文法ポイント:
法助動詞wouldの用法は3つです。
仮定法で用い、to like (to want の同義語)を合わせると、主語の要求を柔らかく描写する事が可能です。
仮定的な話とは想像上の話です。
日本語はsemanticsに頼る必要がありますが、英語はsyntaxのみで可能です。各法助動詞の過去形を用いれば、自然に仮定法を生み出せます。
法助動詞canの用法は2つです。
疑問文で使われる場合は、蓋然性よりも可能性で用いられる事が殆どです。
発音ポイント:
英語の綴りと発音は連動しません。それは固有名詞でも同様ですので、初めて見聞きする名前は確認が必要です。
英語の場合、子音-母音-子音で1音節です。
例えば、jokeは/dʒəʊk/です。
子音dʒ-母音əʊ-子音k
よって、jokeは1音節の単語です。
