Dialogue between air hostess Jenny Marsh (JM) of Australia and passenger Shizuka Watanabe (SW) of Japan

JM:
Welcome to flight QF17 to Sydney.
My name is Jenny Marsh and I’ll be looking after you and your fellow passengers in this area of the aircraft.

SW:
Hello.
My name is Shizuka Watanabe and I am looking for seat 23C.

JM:
That is the aisle seat on the right-hand side of this aisle five rows back.
Do you have anything to put in the overhead bin?

SW:
No, thanks.
I only have this small bag, which I’d like to keep with me.

JM:
That’s no problem, Watanabe-san.
Please get settled and I’ll come and talk to you again once boarding procedures have been completed.

A bit later on:

JM:
Hello again, Watanabe-san.
How is everything?

SW:
Fine, thank you.
I’m looking forward to dinner, though.
What time will it be served?

JM:
In about an hour.
We have several selections for the main, including a roast beef dish and a salmon steak meal.
I’d recommend you have a glass or two of our quality Australian wine with whichever dish you choose.

SW:
That sounds great.
I am a big beef fan and would like some nice Australian shiraz with the roast beef dish.

JM:
Oh, have you been to Australia before and tried some of our delicious food and wine?

SW:
No but I belong to a wine club in Yokohama which meets once every two months and I have enjoyed some good Australian and New Zealand wine there.

JM:
I hope you will enjoy a lot of high-quality and good-tasting food and wine during your visit.
What places in Australia are you going to visit?

SW:
I’m going to spend three days in each of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane before flying out of Brisbane back to Narita in ten days’ time.

JM:
That sounds a great itinerary, although very compressed.
I hope you have a really enjoyable visit to our beautiful country.

SW:
Thank you very much.
You are most kind.

JM:
I’ll be back shortly to serve you dinner.
Please don’t hesitate then or later in the flight to ask me any questions about the cities you will visit or any general questions about Australia.

SW:
Thank you.
There are a few things I’d like to ask you later.

to look、to look after、to look for、to look forward to の他にも、to look up や to look into 等もあります。
