Astronauts may have a lot of fun floating around in space without any gravity, but after about thirty hours, some of them start to get dizzy and space sick.
When the space shuttle Columbia takes off on future flights, there is a very good chance that astronauts will take along special pairs of pants that tape at the waist. They will also take a new gadget――called an ultrasonic plethysmograph――that uses sound for measuring.
