今よく耳にするこの２つの単語。
英語ではどう表現しましょうか？
「感染」は infection が使えそうですね。
「接触」は contact でいけそう。
では「飛沫」は？
表現方法はたくさんあると思いますが、今日出会ったのは以下の２つでした。
「飛沫感染」”droplet transmission”
「接触感染」”contact transmission”
“droplet”は「滴」とでも訳しましょうか。”water droplet” で「水滴」という意味になります。
“transmission”は「伝達」というイメージが強いですが「伝染」という意味にも使える単語です。
「感染」は”infection” でも良いんですけど、今回はせっかくなんで “transmission” で例文を出しますね。
Our Center takes various measures such as taking temperatures at the entrance, alcohol sterilization, and wearing face masks, and has decreased the number of people accepted each day to thoroughly prevent the spread of both droplet transmission and contact transmission.
（我々の施設では来診者の入館時の検温やアルコール消毒、マスク着用での健診などの対応のほか、1日の受け入れ人数を通常より減らすなど様々な方法で、飛沫感染・接触感染防止を徹底して行っております。）
“sterilization 「消毒」” も難しいですが良い単語ですね。
