Human beings are nothing but a mass of blind passions (worldly desires). We are 100% made of blind passions. When we are happy, it is our blind passions that are happy; when we lament, it is our blind passions that are lamenting; when we regret, it is our blind passions that are regretting; when we are moved to tears, it is nothing but our blind passions that are moved to tears.
Our thoughts, words, and actions are all manifestations of these deep-seated passions. Among them, we each carry 108 blind passions, with desire taking the forefront. This desire manifests in five main forms: the desires for food, wealth, love, fame, and sleep.
