先日SNSでお父さんをかっこいいと感じる瞬間についてのアンケート結果を目にした。一位が仕事を頑張っている時、二位が家庭を大切にしている時など、全国のお父さん必見の素敵な父親像が目白押しであった。そんなランキングの中で私は4位、5位の好きなことをさせてくれる時と趣味に付き合ってくれる時という項目を見てこう思った。やっぱそうだよねぇ。

個々の価値観を尊重する現在の社会で、父親が他の家族に4,5位の様なことを求めたら、顰蹙を買うこと間違いなしだが、我らがお父さんにはこれが言えてしまうのだ。これを全国のお父さんへの信頼の高さと捉えるか、大多数のお父さんが日常で家族を尊重できていないことへの代償と捉えるか。

兎にも角にも、全国のお父さんに伝えたい。いつもお仕事お疲れ様です！職場でも家に帰ってからもあなたが素敵なお父さんでいつづけられますように！！

Ideal Father Figure

The other day, I saw the survey result on social media regarding the 

moments when your father looks cool. The first place was "when he is working hard at his job," second place was "when he makes time for 

his family," and so on, highlighting all the wonderful father figures that are a must-see for fathers across the country. Among these rankings, 

the fourth was "when he lets me do whatever I like" and the fifth was  "when he keeps me company with my hobby.” I thought, "That is so true.”

In today's society where individual values are respected, it would be 

frowned upon if fathers were demanded behaviors like the ones of 4th and 5th place. However, we can demand these things from our father. This can be regarded as high levels of trust in fathers all over Japan, or the price to be paid for the lack of respect most fathers have for their 

families in their daily lives.

Regardless, there is a message that I want to tell all the fathers in the 

nation. Thank you for all the hard work! I hope you can continue being a great father at home even after the hard days at work!
