①名前とその意味
I'm Mitsuaki, but you can call me Mits.
In Japanese, my name Mitsuaki means "to shine and reveal."
Like the name, I want to become the one to bring hidden things into
the light.
私はミツアキです。ミツと呼んでいただいて大丈夫です。
日本語で私の名前のミツアキ（光顕）は「光り、明らかにする」と言う意味です。名前のように、隠れた物事にも光を与えられるような存在になりたいと思います。
②出身地と現在の居住地
I’m originally from Kyoto, the ancient capital of Japan, famous for
numerous historical temples and shrines. But currently I live in Chiba
Prefecture, the country’s biggest producer of soy sauce and peanuts.
私の出身は、日本の古都である京都で、ここは多くの歴史的な神社仏閣があることで有名ですが、現在は日本最大の醤油とピーナッツの生産地である、千葉県に住んでいます。
③職業
I worked for a financial company for 37 years, but currently, I am
exploring new opportunities as an English-language interpreter-guide,
as well as an online English teacher.
私は金融会社に３７年間勤務しましたが、現在は英語の通訳案内士そしてオンライン英語講師として新たに挑戦中です。
④家族
I live with my wife, just two of us. We have three sons, but they have
all flown the nest. I think my wife and I should keep ourselves busy
to avoid the empty nest syndrome.
私は妻と二人暮らしをしています。息子が三人いますが、皆巣立ちました。「空の巣症候群」にならないように、妻も私も、忙しく過ごしたいです。
⑤趣味
I am a history lover, and in my free time, I visit museums, temples,
shrines, and castles to experience the wonders of Japanese history. So
if you have any questions about the history of the land of the rising
sun, don't hesitate to ask me.
私は歴史が大好きで、余暇には博物館、神社仏閣、城などを訪ねて、日本の歴史の素晴らしさに触れています。もし、皆さんの中で日本の歴史について質問がある人は、遠慮せずに私に尋ねてください。
⑥Fun fact（面白ネタ）
One thing you may not know about me is that I am a language geek.
I studied French, Spanish, and Korean in addition to English. Although
I’ve lost much of my French and Spanish, I'm still continuing to study
Korean. So if any of you are from Korea or have a passion for the
Korean culture, let’s have a chat.
実は私、言語オタクで、これまでに英語のほか、フランス語、スペイン語、そして韓国語を勉強しました。フランス語とスペイン語はほとんど忘れてしまいましたが、韓国語はいまだに勉強を続けています。もし、皆さんの中で韓国の方や、韓国文化に興味がある方がいれば、ぜひお話ししましょう。
