IELTS ライティング Task 2 で出てくるのはこんな問題。
Learning English at school is often seen as more important than learning local languages. If these are not taught, many are at risk of dying out.
In your opinion, is it important for everyone to learn English?
Should we try to ensure the survival of local languages and, if so, how?
うん、読むだけでもう嫌になるよね。でも、大丈夫。
聞かれていることはこの３つ。

(1) 全員が英語を習得することは大切か？
(2) 現地語の生存を確保するよう努めるべきか？
(3) そうなら、どのように？
(2) なんかもう、(3) があるので、半強制的に Yes と答えさせるような単細胞問題！簡単ですよ！
英語が絶望的に苦手でも、ほぼ問題文を写すだけでOK！
ステップ①：意見は「Yes」か「No」か決めるだけ

ステップ②：ローカル言語も守ったほうがいい？

ここがちょっと難しい。でも、次の２つの表現を知っていれば書けます。

ここまで書けたらかなり良い！でも、③は無理ならある程度なら飛ばしても大丈夫。
作文が苦手な人は読めればいいですよ！

英作文は「写してOK」「型にハメる」だけでなんとかなる！
・英語が苦手でも、問題文を写すだけで意見は書ける
・「by doing」「let 〜 be spoken」の型だけ覚えよう
・難しい部分は無理して書かなくてもOK（減点されても他でカバーできる）
「自分には無理」じゃない。むしろ「私でも書ける」ように作られてる試験なんです。
英検５級レベルの人でもあきらめない。IELTS は TOEFL と違って思ったよりもスコアが取れる試験です。「だめだ」と思って０点になることを避けさえすれば、何点かは取れます。超初心者の方はこのレベルからスタートされてみてはいかがでしょうか？

In my opinion, it is important for everyone to learn English, as it serves as a global lingua franca and facilitates international communication, education, and commerce. However, the increasing dominance of English should not come at the expense of local languages, many of which are in danger of disappearing. Both English and local languages can and should coexist within educational systems.
English has undoubtedly become essential in today’s globalised world. It is the main language of science, business, and the internet, and proficiency in it opens up access to better job opportunities and higher education. Therefore, ensuring that students achieve a functional command of English is a practical necessity in many countries.
Nevertheless, the survival of local languages is equally important. Language is deeply connected to cultural identity, history, and traditions. When a language dies, a unique way of seeing and interpreting the world disappears with it. To prevent this, local languages should be actively preserved and promoted. This can be achieved through bilingual education models in schools, government funding for cultural preservation projects, and the inclusion of local languages in media and technology.
In conclusion, while learning English is undeniably important in the modern world, it should not be prioritised to the extent that local languages are neglected. A balanced approach that values both global communication and cultural heritage is essential for a linguistically and culturally diverse future.
