【2級ライティング便利表現③】harmful

前回の英検2級便利表現では good の代わりに使える単語 beneficial を紹介しました。

今回は bad の代わりに使える単語 harmful のご紹介です。

harmfulは「有害な」という意味ですので、例えば以下のような場合に使うことができます。

We should limit the number of cars in cities because they release bad substances.

⇒We should limit the number of cars in cities because they release harmful substances.

（車は有害な物質を放出するので、都市部の車の数を制限すべきである。）

Because vegetables with chemical are bad for our health, we should only eat organic ones.

⇒Because vegetables with chemical are harmful to our health, we should only eat organic ones.

（農薬のついた野菜は健康に悪いので、私たちはオーガニックな野菜のみを食べるべきである。）
