前回のブログで、Googleマップがどのように利用できるかをお伝えしましたが、実は 良いことばかりでは ないようです。
犯罪者が 事前準備するときに、Googleマップで 現場の 状況を確認することがあるそうなんです。
もし、ストリートビューに 自宅の情報 (表札、車のナンバー、人の顔など )
などが写っていると、犯罪に 利用されてしまう 可能性があるらしく、怖いですね ......
一度、Googleマップのストリートビューを 確認してみることをお勧めしたいです。
もしも、個人情報が写っていたとしたら、どうしたら良いでしょうか？？
そんな時には、ぼかしを 依頼することができます。
やり方は、むつかしくありませんが、一度ぼかしを入れると取り消せないそうですので、注意深くやってみましょう。
まず、ストリートビューで自宅を表示し、上の方に表示される ３つの点から「問題を報告」を選択すると、「不適切なストリートビューを報告」と表示されます。
「画像のプレビュー:
報告対象の部分が中心に表示されるようにビューを調整してください。」
とある通り、画像を見ながら ぼかしを入れたい部分を 赤い線の枠内に入れます。
ぼかしのリクエスト:
ぼかしを施したいオブジェクトを選択してください。
◎ 顔
◎ 自宅または私有地内のもの
◎ 公道上の自分の車 / ナンバー プレート
◎別のオブジェクト
もし、「◎ 公道上の自分の車 / ナンバー プレート」を選んだ場合......
私は、自分が所有者であるため、この車両のぼかし加工をリクエストする権限を有することを証明します。このぼかし加工は取り消せず、元に戻せないことも理解しています。
とあるので、チェックマークを入れます。
ぼかしを施す車またはナンバー プレートの識別に役立つその他の情報を入力してください。
”情報”は、1,500 文字まで説明を入力でき、(省略可) となっています。
あとは、メールアドレスを入力すれば、申請完了。
ぼかしのリクエストを申請しても、必ず対応してもらえる訳ではないようですが、不安に思える場合は、一度申請してみるのもよいかもしれません。
この「問題の報告」からは、他にも マップの画質が悪い場合や、私道が写っている場合に、利用できるようになっています。
Googleマップから、自分の個人情報を利用されたら イヤですよね。

If Street View captures information about your home (such as your nameplate, license plate number, or faces), it could be used in criminal activities, which is scary...

What should you do if your personal information is captured?
In such cases, you can request a blurring.
The process isn't difficult, but once blurring is applied, it cannot be undone, so proceed carefully.
First, view your home in Street View and select "Report a Problem" from the three dots at the top. You'll see the message "Report Inappropriate Street View."
As it says, "Image Preview:
Adjust your view so that the area you want to report is centered."
While looking at the image, draw the area you want to blur within the red box.
Blur Request:
Select the object you want to blur.
◎ Face
◎ Something at home or on private property
◎ My car/license plate on a public road
◎ Another object
If you select "◎ My car/license plate on a public road"...
I certify that I am the owner and therefore have the authority to request blurring of this vehicle. I understand that this blurring is irreversible and cannot be undone.
Check the box.
Enter any additional information that will help identify the car or license plate you're blurring.
You can enter a description of up to 1,500 characters in the "Information" section (optional).
All you need to do is enter your email address, and your request is complete.
Blur requests are not guaranteed to be accepted, but if you're unsure, it might be worth submitting one.
This "Report a Problem" feature can also be used if the map's image quality is poor or if a private road is visible.
You wouldn't want your personal information to be used by Google Maps, right?
