【2級ライティング便利表現63】reproduce

re（再び）+ produce（生産する）という事で、reproduceは「再現する・繁殖する」という意味の動詞です。

英検2級の単語問題にも出てきますが、次のようにライティングでも使えます。

3D printing has opened up new possibilities to reproduce complex three-dimensional objects.

（3Dプリンターは複雑な3次元のモノを再現する新たな可能性を開いた。）

Climate change poses a threat to the ability of some species to reproduce, because rising temperatures can disrupt their breeding patterns and habitats.

（気温上昇が繁殖パターンや生息地を乱す可能性があるため、気候変動は一部の種の繁殖能力に脅威をもたらしている。）

「再現する」は技術系、「繁殖する」は生物系のトピックで、それぞれ活躍できると思います。
