Driving a vehicle that does not meet emission standards through the zone will result in a charge of 12.5 pounds per day (approximately $16).This toll significantly increases the cost of driving a car.　Some individuals reside in areas that are not as well-served by public transportation as those in the city center. Moreover, the rising cost of living has made it impossible for some of those people to buy a new car, so they strongly object to this measure.
