Teachers like teaching. This would not sound wrong to the majority of teachers who are actually in charge of a teaching position right now. While education has been discussed so much that teachers sound like lazy, inefficient or adamant people, students have also been on the table of argument.
As students have almost no choice to select teachers, neither do teachers. Teachers can’t help but like certain bunch of students more than the others. I once heard about how a school caste takes shape; some caste like that of smartness, looks and motor skills and so on. To be fortunate or unfortunate, every caste in school seems to be applied to how students evaluate and assess teachers. So a teacher once placed higher at a school caste in his or her childhood may possibly earn warm or respectful eyes of students.
What if, then, teachers can choose who to teach? If asked so, I would answer I welcome those who pursue their own character. Here what I mean by character is his or her own voice.
English users tend to sound smart and cool in Japan. Yes, I think that still holds true even in the current tide when a number of advanced learners has surfaced. Even so, I would like to cherish how different his or her English is from other English users. Language tells how she exactly feels about something if the wording fully honed; mere command of English sounds banal and too conventional nowadays. I do hope English learners in Japan find themselves in the art of writing.
