Because we are currently facing an existential crisis on Earth. 現在の大量消費社会は利便性と引き換えに多くのものを失ってしまいました。 In exchange for convenient and cheap goods, we have succumbed and fallen in to a consumerist society. 海を汚し、生態系を破壊し、空気を汚しています。 We now poison the seas, pollute the air and destroy ecosystems. 具体的な数字についてお話をしましょう。 Let's talk numbers. ファストファッションブームの影で大量生産、大量廃棄が起こり １年間に日本で捨てられる衣料は100万トンにのぼった。 The rise of "Fast Fashion" has led to mass production, mass consumption and mass waste. One million tons of apparel is disposed annually in Japan today.
