根室のホタテ漁開始

The scallop fishery in the new fishing grounds created off the coast of Nemuro has begun.

The first day yesterday, 17.9 tons were landed for the first time at Nemuro Port.

It left Nemuro Port at 6 a.m.

In the auction held at 1:30 p.m., the high price per kilo was 210 yen.

The size was 1.2 times larger than the previous year to 150 grams on average.

Scallops are larger than last year, and the price is better.

The fishery plans to land 250 tons of scallops in one month until December 24.
