Preparation of Tokachi wine is at its peak in Ikeda-cho, Hokkaido.
Since the end of September, Tokachi wine brewery in Ikeda-cho has been brewing Tokachi wine using Bacchus from Yoichi and other grapes harvested in Hokkaido.
Now, with the addition of Kerner and other varieties, the brewing process is at its peak.
The yield of the grapes is expected to be 400 to 450 tons above normal, and the mature white wine will be sold at local and Sapporo department stores from next spring. Preparation work is expected to continue until the end of October.
