MANA English diary 9月30日――not to lie

今日は和歌ブログ執筆に 時間を使いました^^

土曜日にアップ予定の記事は、

見方によっては敵を増やすかもしれないけど、 

いつでも大事にしている事は

事実をねじ曲げないことと

自分に嘘をつかないこと。

自分にも誰にも恥ずかしい事はしていないので、 

あれで敵が増えるなら仕方ない^^

メッセージの伝わり方は、

発信者の書き方だけでなく

受信者の心のありようによっても

変わりますからね。

I spent long time to write articles for Waka blog today.

The article which is gonna upload on Saturday may make more enemies to me, in a particular perspective.

But it's not a big matter.

I always think it important not to falsify the fact and not to lie to myself.

There's nothing for it if my enemies increase because of the article,

as long as I do nothing to be ashamed of myself and anyone else :)

How the message is interpreted depends on how the receivers' minds are,

not only on how the message senders express.

今日のポイント◎

・in a particular perspective：

　ある特定の見方をすると、

　見方によると

"a perspective"以外にも

"a viewpoint"とか"a point of view"とか

"an outlook"とか

いろいろ言い方があるけど、

違いはあまりわかっていませんｗ

・But it's not a big matter.：

日本語の一文が長いので2つに分け、

さらにその2文のあいだに

一言挟みました。

・I always think it important not to falsify the fact and not to lie to myself.：

"it"="not to falsify the fact" & "not to lie to myself"です。

"it"って便利だよね。

・falsify the fact：事実を曲げる

・lie to myself：自分に対して嘘をつく

"lie（嘘をつく）"はかなり強い表現なので、 

「うそーｗ　」とか 「うそつき！　」とか言う時に 

"lie"を使うと 

けっこうギョッとされます。

・There's nothing for it：仕方ない

・as long as：……である以上、する以上

・be ashamed of： ……に対して恥ずかしく思う 

・How the message is interpreted：

　メッセージがどのように解釈されるか 

本当はここにも

"it ... how ..."の構文を使いたかったのだけど、 

もしそうすると、

"depends on"のあとにもhow節の来る重複が 

紛らわしいので、

主語もhow節そのまま使いました。
