Pink Skies

Hiya! I can't believe I just left after one blog post (oops).
On a similar note, I can't believe summer just left like that too!
It's still September! Isn't September still supposed to be summer in
Japan??

Something about the change from summer to autumn always makes me a little nostalgic. Maybe it's because summer is when we all have
the opportunity to chill, especially when we were students. Ah, to be a student again... see what I mean?

When I was younger, I didn't have a squad of friends but everyone
seemed to love the stories I wrote and told. They were the way I
made friends; I'd make plots and plays and scenarios for everyone to
get involved in. I loved how enthusiastic people would become after a while after the initial shyness faded away. A part of them start to
believe that they are their character they're playing. That magical
transition, being so invested in the moment that you stop looking
back...

So what am I, the writer, being nostalgic about?
A silly season, summer.
A symbol of sweet smiles and pink skies.
A feeling of infinite possibilities and faraway future.

Autumn is a symbol of letting go, of looking back.
Orange skies and weary, wayward paths of orange leaves.
Pursuing cosiness to deal with the coming harshness.
A sense of faint hope but welcoming the inevitable.
