MANA English diary 10月21日――printer

ハードオフでいろいろ尋ねて、

プリンタはメルカリでほぼ新品のものを

買うことにしました☆

4回しか使っていないというものが、

ほぼ売上金で買えました！

有難いです＼(^^)／

I went to HARD OFF and asked the shop staffer a lot about printers today (October 21).

Then I changed my mind to buy an almost new one in Mercari in accordance with her advice :)

I managed to buy the one which is used only 4 times with almost only my proceeds earned in Mercari!

What a wonderful world!!

今日のポイント◎

・go ... and ... ：行って……する

"go ... and 動詞"は

"go ... to不定詞"の少しくだけた表現。

・staffer：スタッフ

日本語の「スタッフ」を

"staff"と直訳すると

ニュアンスが異なるので注意。

"staff"はスタッフの総体という感じ。

あるスタッフひとりを指す場合は

"a staffer"とか"a member of the staff"とか。 

・change my mind：

　もともとは違った考えを、変える

・manage to：なんとか……する

・an almost new one：ほぼ新品のもの 

・in accordance with：……に従って

・proceeds：売上金

プリンタも揃えて、ますます仕事も捗りそう☆
