【本問題】次の日本文を英訳して下さい。

１、彼にはどことなく上品な所（something noble）がある。

（解答例）There is something noble about him.

２、このビンにはウィスキーは大して残っていません。

（解答例）There is not much whisky left in this bottle.

３、ロンドンから汽車でほんの数時間の所に、すばらしい所がたくさんあります。

（解答例）There are a lot (あるいはa number) of wonderful places just a few hours from London, by train.

４、海からの風が吹かないと暑気はひどく、家の中にいられないくらいです。

（解答例）When there is no breeze from the sea, the heat is so intense that we cannot stay indoors.

５、郵便局はこの近くにはありませんが、駅前まで行くとあります。

（解答例）There is no post office near hear, but you will find one in front of the station.

６、この川には橋が3本かかっています。

10、彼はどうしても行くと言い張った。止めるすべが無かった。

11、ノックをしたが、応答が無かった。

（解答例）I knocked. There was no answer.

12、君に残された道はただ一つしかない。彼に全てを告白し、許しを乞う

（ask his forgiveness）ことだ。

１、休息の取り方にはいろいろありますが、最上の方法は眠ることです。

There are different ways of taking rest, but the best way is sleep.

（参考）次の例のthereは「あそこに」の意です。

There goes my bus. How very annoying!（あれ、バス行っちゃった。ちぇっ、くそ。）

２、例外の無い規則はありません。

３、どこかこの近くに病院がありますか。
