Could that have been you?

Here, the sun is brightly shines and under every creature is vividly alive.

The wind flies by moody. It's  quickly one time,gentry another time.

ここの太陽は煌めき輝き、全ての生きるものに逞しい生命力を与えている。
風は気まぐれに飛び、忙しく飛ぶときもあれば、優しく飛ぶときもある。

There exists a royal sea nearby. It gives infinite thoughts.
近くには、高貴なる海が存在し、無限の思考を与えるくれる。

Overhead, the sky eyes like a child giving an innocent mind.
頭上には空の目が、子供の様な無邪気な目で見ている。

A woman, who is from somewhere, spends the rest of her life here.
何処から来たのだろうか、女が残りの人生のをここで費やしている。

She has made not slightly nice house. It's a handmade log cabin. Some of the logs are newly, other some lichen has settle down on, the a few others are almost fallen into decay.

彼女はお世辞にも言えない素敵な家を建てた。それは木の丸太で作られいる。幾つかの丸太は新しく、幾つかは苔が根を広げ、幾つかは朽ちそうである。

Inside is empty but only a very small kitchen and a comparatively large open space. No body would think human lives here.

小さな台所と、比較的広々とした空間を除いては、中は空っぽだ。

Even though the house looks ruined ,  beauty and gracefulness would be found of it once getting close to the house.
廃墟の様に見えるが、一度側に近づくと、その美しさと気品に気づく。

Now there is nothing, but silent. when closing eyes and focusing all consciousness on ears, being aware of being not alone. Waves of the sea, whisper of the wing,  call of trees, all are companions.
今そこには静寂以外何もなく、目を閉じ意識のすべてを耳に集中させると、独りではないことに気がつく。海の波、風のささやき、木の呼ぶ声、全ては仲間。

It happens breaking the silent suddenly. some woman is coming in. She must be the owner of this house. She's got some apples. they are a bit ugly, but give off a sweet fragrance in the air.  It could be for her meal, but no one knows other than her.
一人の女が入ってきて、沈黙は破やれた。この家の主だろう。林檎を持ち合わせている。見た目は悪いが、甘い香りを漂らせている。食事の為だろうか、知る人はいない。

She does a few little things and then get back outside. She walks through the back door with the apples and  brings them onto the edge of the precipice  that shows splendour of the end of the day of life.
特に大したことはせず、その林檎を持って裏口から再び外へ歩き出て、崖の端に持ち運びだす。その崖は、生命の終わりの華麗さの景色を見せてくれる。

She put them on the ground, knells down,closes her eyes and begun to pry. She breathes deeply in and out.After a while, she opens her eyes, gets up, picks them up and backs to the house.

林檎を地に置き、跪き、目を閉じ祈り始めた。深く呼吸をしている。暫くして目を開け、立ち上がり、林檎を拾い上げ、家へ戻る。

It seems like she do that everyday. In fact, only the path that she walks for that ritual has no tall weeds, beside of the path many that are tall by her thighs.

彼女は毎日それを行っているのだろう。その儀式のため、彼女が歩いている道だけ、高い草が生えていない。脇には彼女の腿位の丈のある草が生えている。

After hours,As it's close to that the sun goes under the horizon, she puts fire on a candle.
数時間後、太陽が地平線の下へ向かう頃、蝋燭へ火を着けた。

She looks toward the mountain through the window.She senses something. She gets outside with the strange fillings. she is told that someone coming  over the mountain which looking down at her.

彼女は窓を通して、山の方を見た。何かを感じている。その奇妙な感じと共に外へ出る。彼女を見下ろす山の向こうから、誰かがやって来ている、と彼女は伝えられた。

"Some one is coming... must get ready.  At least one day for the ready."
誰かが…来る。準備しなくては。少なくとも１日は猶予がある。

As soon she thinks it, she has the apples, cleans herself  and gets in bed.it's completely dark.
そう考え直ぐに彼女は林檎を食べ、身体を洗い、寝に就いた。完全なる闇の中。

Over the night, the sun still hides blew the line, she wakes up. She starts to prepare.Prepare what? Let see.
夜が過ぎ、太陽が未だ地平線に隠れている時、彼女は目を覚まし、準備を始める。何を準備するのか。

She draws two daggers the knife holder in the kitchen. They are just her-fist-and-forarm long and looks very simple.
台所の包丁入れから２本短刀を抜いた。丁度彼女の拳と前腕位の長さであり、見た目は簡素である。

They've got double-edged blades and hafts only.However,watching closely, it would be found to be maintained professionally.

両刃の刃と柄のみ。しかし良く観察すると、玄人業並の手入れが成されている事に気付く。

The blades are quite sharped and potentially feel out to give a heavy cut.The hafts are wooden and shaped elliptic to fit her grip.
刃はよく研がれ、潜在的に重い切れ味を感じさせる。柄は木製で、彼女の手に馴染む様に楕円形に形作られている。

And then she takes 8 iron rings.
そして鉄製の輪を８つ手に取った。

She goes outside and seems like to start doing something outside....but not quite sure of what she is doing.
外に出て何かを始める様だが…何をしているのか分からない。

When it blows the wing that tells the day starts the end, she also almost finishes her preparation. But on the other hand, it's also brought her to be inspired to need to be on the alert.
今日の終わりを告げる風が吹き流れた時、準備は終わりに近かった。一方でその風は、彼女に警戒態勢になる必要性を感じさせた。

"The one near." read out she , but not be surprised at all. Because the mountain has told where the person was time by time.
「近い」と彼女は読み取った。しかし驚く様子は全く無い。何故なら山が随時、その者の居場所を伝えていたからだ。

''There seems like just one person. it's fast and possibly  better than me.but I have advantages here which is my yard any way."

「どうやら一人だけのようだな。速い。そして私より上手の可能性も。ここでは私に優位がある。心配は無い」

The half of the sun has sunk into the water. The winds turns to run away, trees are taken its breath away and sky gets timid off. Only the mountain holds being the same.

太陽の半分が沈んだ。風達は逃げ始め、木達は呼吸を止めさせられ、空は怯えだす。山だけがいつもと同じ様に留まっている。

The one shows up out of the wood at the mountain's base and walk closer and closer toward her standing in front of her house.

山の根本のもりから何者が姿を表しだす。家の前で立っている彼女の方へ徐々に近づきなから歩いている。

There has been no word between the both but only keep stepping one by one forward blandly while only staying with caution.

両者の間には言葉は無く、ただ一歩一歩淡々と前進するのみ、ただ警戒しながら待ち構えている。

"It's.... a man, not young nor old. He is ...good. Can I beat him... If this were a fair fight, the odds would be ... 30% in optimistic."

「男…だな。若くもなく、老いてもない。…手練れだ。勝てるか…。もしこれが公平な戦いなら、勝率は楽天的に考えて…３０％。」

As there condenses into the rang of her stroke among their taking the first advantage, the man stops stepping forward. It could have passed minutes while the two faces to each other.

両者の初動権の取り合いが、女の刃圏に凝縮されていくとき、男は立ち止まった。両者が立合いに立ち、恐らく数分過ぎただろう。

The first movement he takes."It's just what I thought, but please excuse me. I need to confirm this."

"Confirm what?"

最初に動いたのは男だ。
「思った通りだ。だが恐れ多いが失礼する。これを確信する必要があるのでね。」

Suddenly he  has rushed toward her and wrested the first advantage very quickly.
突然男は彼女の方へ勢いよく向かい、初動権を力ずくでもぎ取った。

With no blink,his right fist flies toward  at her face.
瞬きする間もなく、男の右拳が彼女の顔目掛けて飛んでくる。

She dodges with no step back but forward , and has moved just very close to the fist and stays close to him stickily. the blow is making a gust sounding heavily.
女はそれを下がることなく、しかし前へ出てぎりぎり躱し、離れずに男の直ぐ側に留まった。

Without a breath, Only  his right elbow in her sight. He feels reached her, but not to her face but her both palms. She offset his death stroke by all her might.

息つく間もなく、女の視界には男の肘だけになる。女に届いたと男は感じる。しかし女の顔ではなく掌だ。女は男の痛恨の一撃を全力で相殺した

This is not a period. She runs her right hand formed like a knife forward along his right arm.

これで終わりではない。女は自分の右手刀を、男の右腕に沿って走らせた。

When it is about that the sharp hard catches his neck, it's got slightly way off by his left palm.

女の手刀が男の首を刺す手前で、男の左掌で僅かに逸らされた。

The sun at last hid its face under the ocean, on the other hand the moon begins to shows up its face, at the same time the winds goes back home like children hoping tomorrow's luck, alongside the tree call all living creature for a night time.

太陽がやっと顔を海へ隠し、一方で月が顔を現し始め、同時に風達が子供のように明日への希望を願いながら家へ戻り、木達が全ての生きている物に夜を呼びかける。

The man and women freeze.
男と女は止まっている。

Even though there is no action of them, the bout is still going on. The two are taking the advantage of next move.
そこに動きは無いが、戦闘は続いたまま。二人は次の一手を取り合っている。

There are actually not no movement, but very subtle ones at the points of contact of the both hands.
実際には動きが無いわけではない。両者の手の接触点では極僅かな動きがある。

They quit thinking at all, but give all of their-selves for feeling and entrust each intuition, experiences, learned ever.
二人は完全に思考を止め、自身の全てを感じることに捧げ、互いの直感、経験、これ迄に会得した物に委ねる。

As  the moon comes out whole with its sacred light, eventually the man beaks the silent bout.
月が聖なる光と共に全体を現し、ついに男がその静かなる戦いを破った。

"...seems like  that is true."
「…どうやらあれは本当の様だな。」

"That what?"

「あれとは何だ。」

"That I have heard about you. You are way strong that no one loses you.I suppose the odds are 30% that I win of you."
「貴様の評判さ。強すぎて誰一人太刀打ちできないと。己が貴様に勝てる確率は３０％ってとこだな。」

"Idiot, you even haven't use your physical strength, but only  skills. Because I am a girl, isn't it?."

「寝ぼけたことを言ってるんじゃないよ、あんたは技の力だけ使って、肉体的な力を使って無いじゃないか。私が女の子だからかい？

"Hum...I just needed to confirm that you were really the female that I was supposed to meet, which is the reason my lord has sent me here."

「いやそうじゃない。ただ貴様が本当に己が会うあの女なのか確かめる必要があったのでね。それが我が男爵様が吾をここへ送った理由さ」

"Your Lord? You are a servant of that man."
「男爵様？あんたはあの男の身の回りのお手伝いさんだね。」

"...Yes, of  Alise・D・Theta, sir."「

…シータ・D・アリスの、です。」

"...Could you have been that? I remember he wrote me years ago  that man found some man whom he want me to see."
「…あれはあんたの事かい？数年前にあの男が、私に会わせたい男を見つけた、と手紙を書いたのを思い出した。」
