「報道」という意味で使われるこの単語。

英検ライティングでは次にように使えるかなと思います。

Media coverage plays a crucial role in shaping public opinion and awareness about significant events, therefore, accurate and unbiased reporting is essential.

（メディア報道は重要な出来事についての公衆の意見や認識を形成する上で大切な役割を果たしているので、正確かつ偏見のない報道が不可欠である。）

また、coverageには「（保険などの）補償・（電波などの）受信地域」という意味もあります。

こちらは cover から来ていて、次のような感じで使えますね。

Insurance coverage for natural disasters is essential to help communities recover and rebuild after devastating events.

（自然災害に対する保険の補償は、壊滅的な出来事の後に地域社会が回復し再建するために不可欠である。）
