The beverage manufacturer ITO EN, which supports cherry blossom planting activities around the country, donated seven cherry trees to the town of Shizunai, as part of a project to subsidize the planting and preservation of cherry trees in Japan.
The donation is part of a project in which a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the product in February of this year is used to subsidize cherry tree planting and preservation activities in various parts of Japan.
Shizunai is one of Japan's most famous cherry trees, with approximately 3,000 cherry trees blooming on both sides of a 7km-long road in spring.
The mature trees are over 10 years old and 5 to 6 meters high.
The trees will be in bloom next spring.
