This is the story that I went through when I was still virgin.

(これは僕がまだ童貞だった頃のお話です。)

One day, I went to my ex-girlfriend's house to stay overnight because her parents weren't supposed to come home on that day.

(その日、当時付き合っていた彼女の親が家に居ないという事だったので、彼女の家に泊まりに行く事になりました。)

I was really motivated to have some sex with her.

(絶対に今日決めてやろうと思っていました。)

After school, my girlfriend and I went back to her house and were watching TV together.

(その日の放課後、彼女の家に帰宅し２人でテレビを観ていました。)

When I was about to pounce on her, something popped in my mind.

(そろそろいこかな、と思っていた時、僕はある事を思い出しました。)

Oh man, I don't have a condom.

(コンドームが無いじゃないか。)

I thought I couldn't have sex without condom. So I flew out the house and run into a drug store by myself.

(このままでは出来ない。と思ったので、"コンビニにお菓子買いに行って来るわ"と行って僕は１人で家を出ました。)

I took a pack of condom and headed to the cashier.

(そして薬局に入り、コンドームの箱だけを手に取り、レジに向かいました。)

The cashier guy was a bald middle-aged man.

(薬局の店員さんは禿げたおっさんでした。)

He looked at my condom and said,

(そのおっさんは僕のコンドームを見て言いました。)

"Hey young man, you gonna use it tonight, aren't you?"

"兄ちゃん、今からか？"

I was a bit annoyed but I said, "Yeah".

(僕は、早よレジしろよと思いながらも、"はい"と返事しました。)

Then, he said, "Sounds fun, you can do it!". So I just said, "Thank you" and got out of the store.

(するとそのおじさんは、"そうか、頑張れよ"と言ってきたので、"あざす"と言って薬局を出ました。)

After that, I hit the convenience store to buy some snacks and went back to her house.

(その後コンビニでお菓子を買って、彼女の家に戻りました。)

Right after I got in the house, she was so gloomy and said, "Sorry, my parent will come back after all. But since you are here, will you meet my dad?".

(すると彼女は言いました、"ごめーん、やっぱり親帰って来るみたいやわ。せっかくやったら会って行ってよ"と。)

I shouted out in my heart because I just got a condom. But I unwillingly decided to wait for her dad.

(僕は心の中で、うわー最悪やーせっかくコンドーム買いに行ったのにー、と思いながらも、彼女の親を待つ事にしました。)

Soon from that moment, her dad came back.

(すると割りかしすぐに彼女の親は帰って来ました。)

I started heading to the living room to say hello to her dad.

(僕は彼女の部屋を出て挨拶をしにリビングへ向かいました。)

As soon as I saw his face, I recognized that,,

(そして彼女のお父さんと目が合った瞬間に気づきました。)

He was a cashier guy that I met in the drug store!

(さっきの薬局のおっさんではないか！)

I run out of her house and went home. Eventually, I broke up with her and my first sex was just postponed.

(僕は走るように家を飛び出し、その彼女とは別れ、結局初エッチはお預けとなりましたとさ。)

【ワンポイントアドバイス】

① 童貞は英語でそのままVirgin(バージン)ですね。

② Go through(ゴースルー)とは、"〜を経験する"という意味にもなります。

本来ならそのまま"通り抜ける"ですね。

③ 元カレは、ex-boyfriend(エックスボーイフレンド)

元カノは、ex-girlfriend(エックスガールフレンド)と言います。

Ex (エックス)だけでも通じます。

④ "１人で"という表現は、by myself(バイマイセルフ)でいきましょう。

Alone(アローン)でも通じますが、"１人ぼっち"みたいなニュアンスが出ます。

I go to the gym by myself.

(１人でジム通ってます。)

You came to Japan just by yourself?

(１人で日本に来てはるんですか？)

I'm alone in my house now.

(今家に誰もおらんねん。)

⑤ アメリカでは普通、両親の事を、

Dad(ダッド)

Mom(マム)

と言います。

Father(ファザー)

Mother(マザー)

でもいいですがあまり日常では使いません。
