Questions 1 - 4 refer to the following passage.

( 1 ) the summer has already been over, we can't let our guard down. This is 

because the autumn of Japan has been increasingly hot, such as the day's 

highest temperature of over 30 degrees celsius for several consecutive days, 

in recent years. 

( 2 ) such ongoing heat, some people try to stay without turning on the air 

conditioner. These people tend to think the air conditioner will do them harm. 

They assume they will have a cold or other kinds of illness if they spend or 

sleep a long time in a cooled room.

( 3 ), this is not true. If one keeps staying at a place that is too hot whether it is 

indoor or outdoor, the body can be filled with the heat from inside, causing 

heatstroke that sometimes even leads to the end of the life of an elderly 

person. The autumn may be an exciting and enjoyable season, ( 4 ) we still 

have to face some kind of danger and risks in the season, in terms of the 

safety of our lives. Like in summer, why don't we do as many things as we 

can in a comfortably air-conditioned place?
